How Life at my House Works (With 4 dogs)

Hello everyone! Today I’ll be telling you how life at my house works with 4 dogs. When I wake up, it’s my least favorite time. The puppies run and pounce on me! When they finally settle down, I eat breakfast. While I eat I always hear a suspicious sound. I go over to look at what is making that sound, and I see the dogs licking the dishes in the dishwasher! When I’m done eating, the puppies follow me upstairs. I get dressed while the puppies pester me until my head is about to explode! I let them out of my room to go pester my sister. When I’m ready for school, the puppies are usually in their crates because my dad is at work and my mom will take me to school. Witty whines like there’s no tomorrow when he’s in a crate! I go to school with the whining sound blasting out of the house.

When I come home from school, it’s another one of my least favorite times because the puppies pounce on me again. An hour or so later, my sister feeds the puppies and I feed Prudy and Bailey. Then I have to take them outside to go to the bathroom every hour or so. Prudy’s extra challenging because she has anxiety. She’s afraid of her own shadow and she used to not even eat! She makes you carry her downstairs to eat or go out. But even though my dogs are really annoying sometimes, they’re super cute and bring such joy to our lives. That’s my life every day during the school week. If you want me to do a part 2 of this blog to write about my weekends, I will!

How to make cute owls!

Hey everyone and welcome back to Doggie Days. Today I’ll be telling you how to make these pinecone owls! Let’s start. Here are the things you’ll need:

Pinecones

cotton balls

googly eyes

a hot glue gun

feathers

First you will want to go outside to find some pinecones outside. Bring them in then take your cotton balls. Pull them apart into little pieces, then stick them into the grooves. The scales might be prickly, so be careful! Then glue on eyes and the feathers to be wings with hot glue. If you don’t have feathers, felt is a great substitute. You can add feathers to the head and felt for the beak if you would like. Once you are done, make more to give as gifts or to keep for yourself!

Dancing and Diving

Hi everyone and welcome back to Doggie Days. Today I’ll be telling you about my journey of dancing and diving through the years. When I was very little, I did ballet and tap dancing. I remember getting up, putting on my tights, tutu, and tank-top. I was pretty good at ballet, but not so much with tap. In kindergarten, I was in the KG dance show after a play. In the play I was a squirrel, but back to dancing. In 2nd grade, my dance theme was Sleeping In. My prop was a teddy bear and my costume was PJs! In 3rd grade, my theme was together. I didn’t have a prop. I danced to the song, “You and me Together” by Hanna Montana. Now we’ll talk about diving. I started when I was 7 in a diving camp at Stanford Diving. I did that for 2 years until I moved into an actual class. My coaches for the camp were Sloan and Keira. My coach for my class was Todd, but he moved to LA so then I had Zach. When my family moved to NC, I started diving at Duke Diving (I’m not a fan I just dive there).

Quiz of the blog: What is Stanford’s symbol?

a) a fox

b) a tree

c) a cardinal

My Trip to London and Paris

Hi everyone and welcome back to When in Rome! Today I’ll be telling you about my trip to London and Paris (I didn’t plan that) over the summer. BTW there is a quiz at the bottom. On the first day my sister and I stayed home because we were so tired from the jet-lag. My parents went on a double-decker bus. The next day, we went to the London Tower. We saw the crowns of the queens and saw a bunch of armor. We saw the Bloody Tower. I saw a bunch of torture devices they used and I heard stories about murderers. We went speed boating after. The third day, we went to Windsor Castle! We got to see one of Queen Elizabeth’s castle. Day four we took a train to Paris. We went to Buckingham Palace. We also went to the Palace Ver Si. On the fifth day, we went to the Eiffel Tower. We went to a place (I forgot the name) with 281 steps! We also went to the Arc De Triumph. The next day we went to the Louvre where the the Mona Lisa hangs! On the last night, we went to the Eiffel Tower and saw it light up. Quiz of the blog: How do you say bye in French? is it…

My First Time in the Snow!

Hi everyone!🙂

Have you ever been in the snow? Well, I haven’t!  Up until now, at least. The first day it snowed, I was so excited. I looked out my window and saw a winter wonderland. Everything was white! I ran down stairs as fast as I could. Thump! Thump! Thump! I ran outside without a jacket or shoes, and stuck my hand in the snow. Then I ran into the kitchen and made pancakes for a yummy breakfast. After that, I got dressed and went outside with my dogs. Witty was so funny, he just stuck his head right in the snow! I built snowmen and made snow angels. Harper Vick and her dad hiked to my house in the cold weather and we went sledding on at nearby golf course with my dad and sister. Then, when we were about to freeze to death, we went back to our house and had hot coca.

I hope you enjoyed reading! Bye! 🙂

Running a YouTube Channel

Hi Everyone! 🙂

As you probably don’t know, I run a YouTube channel called AG Hearts. I’ve been having a YouTube channel for about a year and a half. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRrQmX9nVMxAwWiY8zorf8g is the link. I do stop motions with my American Girls. How you do stop motion is you first have your doll or something inanimate and take a picture. Then, move it just a little, and take another picture. This part takes hours, so just put on your favorite movie, and start stop motioning! Then, I import all the pictures onto a computer or laptop, and then import those photos onto iMovie. Then I start editing! This process is very complicated, so I won’t go into much detail. Then I upload that video onto YouTube! Occasionally, I don’t post stop motion videos, like my “Baking With the AGs!” video, my “The Sleepover” video, and my “HUGE American Girl Christmas haul! (Tree, stockings, rain deer, and more!” video. I hope you enjoyed! Bye!

Light a Luminary!

Hi Everyone!

I’m back and today we are lighting luminaries for the Ronald McDonald house! The whole neighborhood is lighting them, too! The Ronald McDonald house lets people who have sick children who are in the hospital stay for free! It is a fundraiser to support them. You can make your own luminaries with stuff from your house and I’ll show you how. The things you need:

•fake tea light candles or real small candles

•sand (real or fake)

•paper bags

•small plastic top-less containers

•a lighter or match

First, take your candles and small containers. Place the candle in the container. Do that for the rest of your luminaries.

Next, place the container in the bag with some sand and/or rocks to hold it down. Then, put your luminaries on your driveway or sidewalk and wait until it’s dark to light them with a match or lighter.

The Most Jolly Time of the Year!

Hi Everyone!

Thanksgiving’s passed, so that means… Christmas’s here! We already decorated, and my room looks like Christmas exploded in there! In my room, there is my bulletin bored next to my door, and I put star Christmas lights across it. Next to that, there is my bookshelf where I put stuffing to look like snow, some fake glittery reindeer,  and some small fake Christmas trees. next to that, is my window, where I put 2 garlands, one on my window, and one on my windowsill. Under my window, There is a small real Christmas tree. Then I have my nightstand, where I have a beautiful Christmas scene. I have “snow” all over it, 2 Christmas trees, one is sparkly and turquoise, the other is even smaller, and silver. There are also the same sparkly reindeer as on my bookshelf. Hanging over my bed, I have a light-up love sign that I keep up all-year round, so I put an elf hat on the “O” and put a stocking hanging from the end of the “E”. Next to my bed, there is my dresser where I put “snow”, yet another fake Christmas tree, another sparkly reindeer, a snow globe, and a stuffed snowman and reindeer. Then there is my door to my bathroom.  In my bathroom, I have a soap bottle that has the snow and a girl riding her bike. I have an ornament  that says joy that I put on my door to look like it was meant to go in it, and it does! I also have a sign that says “tis the season on my bathroom mirror.  And that’s it!

I’m  not trying to brag or anything, I just want to share what my room looks like for this festive season. I hope y’all like it (and my many Christmas trees)! Bye!

2 New Puppies?

Hi everyone!

My family got 2 new puppies, leaving us with 4 dogs! We already had Bailey, a small white dog with a few spots, and Prudy, a scruffy white-ish dog with some spots, also. Then one bright sunny day, my mom and sister, Sarah, came home with 2 puppies!  They didn’t even tell me they were at the pet shelter! My sister adopted them under her name, since she wanted to practice being responsible enough to adopt a dog when she grows up and moves out, although she is already 18 years old! Turns out, they were brothers. Witty is white all over. Rougy is black with all his feet white except one. We call it his missing sock. They sleep in crates in the laundry room. We call it the Rougy room, since we call them the Rougies! They were 3 months old when we got them, but now they are 6 months old.

Festa Fall!

Hello Everyone!

My mom, sister and I went to Festifall, an art festival on Franklin Street, Chapel
Hill, NC. We saw many creative projects people made, from figures made of metal scraps, to wire art and pillows. Everything was so creative, and I would have never have thought to create any of the designs.

I was so amazed that my mom let me buy 2 things. I got a metal and wire dog. As you can probably tell, I like dogs a lot! My mom also got something for herself. She selected a blue and purple clay coffee spoon, but there were many other items made from clay.

We also made a rainbow paper pumpkin. You could also donate your pumpkin to a hospital for sick kids. There was also people selling water because it was unusually hot for an October day!

I really liked Festa fall because it had colorful creative crafts with different styles of art.
